Each month, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado’s district caseworkers will host mobile office hours for constituents to come meet with the congressman’s staff and receive assistance with casework. Casework can include any type of support with federal services, from farmers applying for grants to seniors having issues with their Social Security benefits to veterans needing more information on VA services. They will be here at the Sharon Springs Free Library Monday, May 6, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Sharon Springs Garden Party will be held on May 25 and May 26. The Sharon Springs Free Library will be participating on both days and will be having a Garden Shop and Seed Swap fundraiser in the community room. If you would be interested in helping, we are seeking donations of both annual and perennial plants, and gently used gardening supplies, tools and decor. If you have plants you would like to donate, free pots will be available at the library for you to use. Non-plant donations will be accepted at the library the week prior to the event. Plant donations will be accepted starting Wednesday, May 22. Thank you!

T.S. Eliot's modernist poem, The Waste Land, was first published in 1922 and is now considered one of the most important poems of the 20th Century. It follows, roughly, the Legend of the Holy Grail and was begun during a time when he suffered a nervous condition that resulted in his taking a three month leave from his job at a bank.
