Gary VanSlyke will be back this Thursday, 10/24 at 10:30 a.m. with a free musical program for our Pre-K story time play group and friends. Toddlers and parents are welcome to join us for this fun-filled hour of singing and music making. Thanks to Stewart's for their generous funding of this event.

Come to our last Audrey Lorde reading and discussion session, Wednesday, October 16th at 6:30 p.m. We will be looking at the essay "Poetry is Not a Luxury" on page 36 of "Sister Outsider" and the poem in the collected works beginning on page 434, "Inheritance--His". All are welcome to come listen to the lively discussion led by Dr. Emily Daniels and to wrap up this series on the warrior poet just in tine for the Poetry Festival.

We are looking for two teenaged volunteers to help set up, manage and break down "Science at the Library" this Saturday, October 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If no teenagers are available, we will settle for the young at heart of any age.
